Friday’s Press Launch Update...

The Paranormal 5 programme was unveiled on Friday, 7th March 2008 at the ITV's 2008 Press Launch, held at Goldbrick House in Bristol.

The 2008 Regional Programme Schedule was launched by James Garrett, Head of Features & Current Affairs, which included a string of new and returning favourites.

"ITV West takes a look at all things spooky with Paranormal 5, a Serendipity production for ITV West.

The new series follows a team of four paranormal investigators and one spirit medium as they visit various public and residential locations in the West which have experienced paranormal disturbances.

The team conduct various experiments at the haunted locations in the hope to shed some light on who or what, is causing the disturbances and why."

A wonderful day was had by everyone involved in the making of the series. It felt great to be part of the launch and to have so many other people show so much interest in all of our hard work. To say we were proud is an understatement.

The first programme goes out on Thursday 10th July 2008 at 23.00 hrs and runs for eight weeks until Thursday 28th August 2008.

The Paranormal 5 series was mentioned by Lisa Aziz on The West Tonight News programme.

(Please click on the link if you'd like to view a glimpse of the launch and the back of two of ours members heads! The bulletin should be available until Friday, 14th March.)

Wayne, Andy, Ray & myself joined Jed Pitman (Original 106.5 breakfast presenter & ITV West's Soccer Night Host), Jed's gorgeous wife Kate (Producer & presenter on Original 106.5) & a few others from the radio station, which I shall name when my memory comes back to me lol. We had a great time guys and thanks for letting us tag along.

ps. Jed, Polly's right, boy can you drink! lol

Take a look at the pics we managed to get while trying not to look too starstruck LOL

Updates....

I've decided, after renewing my domain name, to actually start using my website and blog! I've got so many that I try and update regularly (MySpace, Facebook, Bebo, etc.) that I forget about this one. Terrible I know, but then again, probably no-one reads what I have to say, so, it doesn't really matter. LOL - I don't get any feedback as I've disabled my comments, or I get unindated with Spam, I don't know how many time's I've been asked 'Do I want my Penis enlarged?' (When I grow one, I'll get it enlarged straight away, and, I'll contact you....)

Anyway, latest news....Well, rather late than latest, but we've finished filming the TV series (Paranormal 5) now, It's at the editing stage and we've been invited to a Press Launch by HTV West which we will be attending on Friday 7th March.

Ummm, I've given up smoking, it's been 60 days now, I'm very pleased with myself, the only thing is, I've taken up knitting to keep my hands busy! I don't know how many scarves I've made, but I think I know what a lot of people are getting next Christmas. LOL.

We've also branched out with a sister team from UK5 Paranormal and Team Spirit has been born, we're looking forward to investigating using technology as well as using a Medium. The line up is pretty much the same, Wayne, Andy and myself with two new additions, Laura (Wayne's wife) and we've also got a new Medium and a lovley friend too, Pete Tomlinson, so if you're both reading this, Hi. :-D
Pete would agree when I say he's just another tool to use when investigating. We've also purchased a lot of new, modern equipment and look forward to using it soon. Paul Derrick is staying as medium with the UK5 team.

Another new 'Hobby', and I use this term loosely, is Facebook....I don't know how many hours I have wasted on that site, but I love it, my latest craze on there is Owned, buying and selling friends (and strangers) photographs. I know it sounds crazy, but I'm addicted lol. Talking of addictions....

Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes....Gotta love them, especially Life on Mars...Gene Hunt, what a man, and rhyming slang for a name too, doesn't get any better, a legend in TV land.

Oh yep, last but not least, I've joined the Gym with my dad, god, I'm so outta shape, but It's equipped with all the latest hi-tech kit that's all space age looking, it's fab, I'll have to get a pic of me on it because a lot people I know would have to see it to believe it lol.

Well that really is it for now, I'll keep you posted on the TV series if anyone really is interested.

If you do read this and want to make a comment or leave some sort of feedback (unless you want me to purchase Viagra or get a penis enlargement), please feel free to send me an email.

:o)

Guide to Zen

* Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either, just feck off and leave me alone.

* Sex is like air. It only becomes really important when you aren't getting any.

* Remember, no one is listening until you fart.

* Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

* If you think nobody cares whether you're dead or alive, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

* If you tell the truth, you don't have to remember anything.

* Don't worry; it only seems kinky the first time!

* A closed mouth gathers no feet.

* There are two theories about how to win an argument with a woman. Neither one works.

* When we are born we are naked, wet, hungry, and we get smacked on our arse. From there on in, life gets worse.

...And my favourite...

* Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

A guide for future success....

Lesson 1:
A man is getting into the shower just as his wife is finishing up her shower, when the doorbell rings.

The wife quickly wraps herself in a towel and runs downstairs.

When she opens the door, there stands Bob, the next-door neighbour.

Before she says a word, Bob says, 'I'll give you $800 to drop that towel.'

After thinking for a moment, the woman drops her towel and stands naked in front of Bob, after a few seconds, Bob hands her $800 and leaves.

The woman wraps back up in the towel and goes back upstairs.

When she gets to the bathroom, her husband asks, 'Who was that?'

'It was Bob the next door neighbour,' she replies.

'Great,' the husband says, 'did he say anything about the $800 he owes me?'

Moral of the story:
If you share critical information pertaining to credit and risk with your shareholders in time, you may be in a position to prevent avoidable exposure.

Lesson 2:
A priest offered a Nun a lift.

She got in and crossed her legs, forcing her gown to reveal a leg.

The priest nearly had an accident.

After controlling the car, he stealthily slid his hand up her leg.

The nun said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest removed his hand. But, changing gears, he let his hand slide up her leg again.
The nun once again said, 'Father, remember Psalm 129?'

The priest apologized 'Sorry sister but the flesh is weak.'

Arriving at the convent, the nun sighed heavily and went on her way.

On his arrival at the church, the priest rushed to look up Psalm 129. It said, 'Go forth and seek, further up, you will find glory.'

Moral of the story:
If you are not well informed in your job, you might miss a great opportunity.

Lesson 3:
A sales rep, an administration clerk, and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp.

They rub it and a Genie comes out.
The Genie says, 'I'll give each of you just one wish.'
'Me first! Me first!' says the admin clerk. 'I want to be in the Bahamas , driving a speedboat, without a care in the world.'
Puff! She's gone.

'Me next! Me next!' says the sales rep. 'I want to be in Hawaii , relaxing on the beach with my personal masseuse, an endless supply of Pina Coladas and the love of my life.'

Puff! He's gone.

'OK, you're up,' the Genie says to the manager.
The manager says, 'I want those two back in the office after lunch.'

Moral of the story:
Always let your boss have the first say.

Lesson 4
An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing.

A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, 'Can I also sit like you and do nothing?'
The eagle answered: 'Sure, why not.'

So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the rabbit and ate it.

Moral of the story:
To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

Lesson 5
A turkey was chatting with a bull.

'I would love to be able to get to the top of that tree' sighed the turkey, 'but I haven't got the energy.'
'Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?' replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients.'

The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, and found it actually gave him enough str ength to reach the lowest branch of the tree.

The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch.

Finally after a fourth night, the turkey was proudly perched at the top of the tree.

He was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot him out of the tree.

Moral of the story:
Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there..

Lesson 6
A little bird was flying south for the winter. It was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground into a large field.

While he was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on him.

As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, he began to realize how warm he was.

The dung was actually thawing him out!

He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy.
A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate.

Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

Morals of the story:
(1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.
(2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your
friend.
(3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep
your mouth shut!

MADONNA - My Idol

Went to see Madonna on July 30th at Cardiff Millennium Stadium, what a night! Fantastic show, fantastic performer, Madonna has an amazing voice when she sings live as she does when singing on an album. I'd recommend anyone to go and see her, though the ticket prices were quite steep, it was well worth it. Shame she didn't do an encore though!

About Samantha

A Little Bit About Me
I am Samantha...obviously!!! I'm open minded about most things, like to have a laugh and think I have a great sense of humour. I was born in Barnet, London in 1973, but now reside in the lovely countryside of Wiltshire.

I work in a Primary School, teaching ICT (Information Communication Technology) to children ranging from 4-11 years of age, lots of fun but also very hard work, (I only do it part-time so I have a lot of respect for the full-time staff and the Headteacher). I also designed and maintain 3 school websites in the Wiltshire district.

I have a beautiful daughter who is 11 and lovely partner called Andy.

The other "Part of my time" when I'm not teaching is Historian & writing the reports from investigations for our paranormal group, Team Spirit. Wonderful group of people to be associated with and from time to time I will be posting our investigations on here.

Samantha
